I really don't care at all about her acting career and I'm not here for it. I didn't watch AHS and I'm not planning to because that show is one of the worst tv shows ever

+ I don't think her filming a movie rn will affect her even though I'm totally against her being an actress. You guys need to remember that Beyonce released her album 9 months after her SB performance and did extremely well after a flop era and I think Gaga will do the same. She will release the new album or EP at the end of the year.

An older woman I know used to watch her in high school productions in manhattan and said she was amazing.

That's great to hear.  I knew she happily did the productions, but I never heard what people thought of them.

What made you jump to this conclusion? It might do well seeing as how musicals are back in style.

Yeah she went to the same school and apparently they did their drama program at a Jesuit school (so it could be coed). This woman is much older (is my aunts best friend) but used to go back and watch the productions. She said that every group had that girl that was the star for the four years, and that Stefani was that girl. It was actually a really cool story. :flutter:

To the OP: you need to realize that The Cure is not Gaga's "comeback", it's not a targeted strike at a #1, and it's not the beginning of a new album cycle.  This was a fun, one-off track she made with DJWS, and released for the hell of it.  ASIB is the priority.

I love that.  If there is more to the story, please share.  It is great Stefani found a bright spot among all the bullying she endured in HS.

Madonna gets so much hate for her movies but she has some huge hits in there over the years: Desperately Seeking Susan, **** Tracy, A League of their Own, ****ing EVITA, not to mention Truth or Dare. I wish someone could erase the bad movies from memory though, my god when she was bad, she was SO bad.

Cher and Bette Midler did both music and movies to success. Who else? Jlo and Beyonce have tried to varying degrees of success. Janet has been in a bunch of movies I think right?

Jared Leto.

I wish Gaga turned out to be on his level. Not some haha cute funny movie that only stans will know about. We'll see.

She shouldn't be doing ASIB. She should stay in AHS, learn acting, and play avant-garde roles.

I'll have to ask her more. I didn't want to come off like a psycho fan and embarrass my aunt at dinner the other day. But she mentioned that she was going to see her in concert and I was like "oh my god I love her" and she was like, "I kind of know her in a strange way and have a cool story." According to her, this was mainly dramatic plays, but she knew that she was musically gifted too. And she didn't make the Lady Gaga is Stefani Germanotta connection for a decent amount of time (because she's old and didn't follow her music at first). Either way, she said that everyone always talked about her and how talented she was. And also that she was one of the very few girls that participated/was cast in these plays.

Will Fetters will be writing the screenplay for this movie:

“Remember Me" - the 2010 romantic drama starring Robert Pattinson. The movie received 27% on Rotten Tomatoes.

"The Lucky One" - the 2012 romantic drama starring Zac Efron. The movie received 20% on Rotten Tomatoes.

"The Best of Me" - the 2014 romantic drama that received a whopping 8% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Producers:

Bill Gerber: His only legitimate hit movie seems to be Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino." The others - "Dukes of Hazzard", "Grudge Match", "Beerfest", "What A Girl Wants" - have an average Rotten Tomatoes score of around 20%.

Jon Peters: He produced the 1976 ASIB remake with Barbra Streisand (which flopped critically).

And this is Bradley Cooper's directorial debut! So we'll see what shall occur once  the movie is released.

You mean it ruins YOUR vision for a number one on Gaga's career! Gaga has a different view for HER OWN career tho!:excuseu:

Even if it does flop critically, it's probably going to do fine at the box office due to Bradley.

Great.   Would love to know what else she remembers about Stefani.  Which concert?  I'm going to Joanne in Philadelphia.
