No, I think the SBHTS was like the finale of Gaga's mainstream musical career.

idg how the sbhts was the finale when the only things she sang from it apart from MR were from 2011 or before.. So sure BTW was the finale of her mainstream career by that logic

It featured most of her hits, and was one last hurrah before she became more of an actress and entertainer, and also gave her what might be her last top 5 hit.

I do think she wants big hits, so it's possible... I just think she wants to achieve it just by releasing commercial songs and not putting too much effort in any other way.

Hmm yeah I do forget how well MR did in the US. What makes you think she'll leave mainstream at this point though? I mean her last two albums were jazz and country anyway

I think her peak is yet to come. She might pull off a Beyoncé a la Lemonade in the near future. And if not that's ok too. She's established herself in pop culture and will always be around.

It confirmed for me that Gaga's run as a radio artist are over. With all these amazing performances it just seems as if the hype never lasts, it never translates into a big enough sensation for Gaga to reenter the pop stratosphere in a big way.

True, I feel like Gaga has been out of the pop music circuit for too long. The gap between 4 and Self-titled was only two years.

True but nothing like Lemonade. It was her most critically acclaimed album and she was everywhere last year. Hope this happens to gaga
