Her performance throughout Hotel had enough brilliant moments to prove that her skills weren't perfunctory. With an acting coach, or a great director, I have no doubt she can deliver an even more spectacular performance.

Can't wait to see what Bradley gets out of her, as he is one of the most dedicated and intelligent actors of his generation.

Yeah I'm excited as well to watch her grow as an actor.  In hotel in many cases her physical acting skills I thought were pretty great, the little muscular movements and expressions showed promise that many more experienced actors haven't shown.

And Gaga will always work her ass off to improve.

Many people on GGD are afraid that she'll fail and make herself or the fanbase look bad and would prefer she didn't try at all, but that's why 99% of the fanbase won't accomplish nearly as much in their lives as Gaga has.

MTV.co.uk quotes a source close to Tarantino as saying: “Quentin is a huge fan of Gaga and loves her whole personality. He has already sounded her out on a couple of projects, one of which would see her playing an assassin.”  :gaycat:

But I think that ship has sailed. :(

Her acting in Hotel really did improve as the show progressed (especially the scene that she did with Sarah Paulson) but not even Gaga could save that terrible season of AHS :poot: but I think she's gonna do amazing in ASIB

I thought only Coven and Asylum were better. I guess I'm from Mars. :madge:

Let's just sweep the Million Reasons video and everything associated with it under the rug.

Keep sweeping it under the mat
Thought we could do better than that
I hope we can

TBH I felt she was good at the part where she's angry. Like the part " Oh my god that what was BAAAACK THEEERE! " & when she slapped Mr. March.

Less is more / Less is a bore

Remember that she was an actress before she started doing music seriously. I think the few wooden episodes in Hotel, Gaga just needed to get into the groove and remember how to act.

I think The Countess, imo, wasn't a great character for her to play around with. She never really showed emotion - particularly at the start. She sliced people's neck open with the same in the same sort of mundane way she would spread butter on her toast. She was always composed and calm.

As the season went on we got to see more vulnerability, we got to see her lose her cool, we got to see her fall in love and we just in general saw a greater emotional range for Gaga to play around in.

That's not to criticise Gaga or say she played it poorly, but poor character development and lackluster writing in general made it difficult for her to really show her potential as an actress.

That combined with the fact that The Countess kinda dressed as if Gaga had been turned into a vampire, I think made it difficult for the audience to separate Gaga, the persona, with the character. I mean honestly, for the first few appearances she had on screen my mind would just go "OMG It's Gaga!!"

Obviously I'm a huge fan, so part of that was just excitement seeing her on the screen, but you see, for example, Sarah Paulson in the role of  Hypodermic Sally and her physical transformation is so significant that the first thing you see is the character separate from the actress who plays her.

I think Gaga played the role well and I think, in the small amount of time we saw her in Roanoke, she played Scáthach (or technically the actress who played Scáthach) very well. With that said I think ASIB will give us a greater opportunity to judge her acting talents and it seems like so far she is promising.

I agree

I think Gaga is naturally a good actress because performing for so many years basically turned her into a pro

and performing on stage or on camera for a music video is very similar to acting in a movie or TV show, with Hotel it was "easier" for her because the character was based on her but I think she'll shine in ASIB thanks to Bradley

I think she had the best character in the whole of Hotel, people forget her character was meant to be emotionless at points, a sociopath basically.

Then you see the story progress and learn more about her and you understand her character more. I loved the 90s and 70s feel of the whole season too.

I want her to work with Tarantino so bad. He's perfect for her.

He offered her a role in Django Unchained but she was too busy. :madge:

I think she showed many expressions in that first episode, without saying a word. Different shades of seduction, lust, thirst, mystery, etc. And I have to disagree, it was a perfect character for her to cut her teeth on. Allowed her to focus on physicality and facial expressions first before diving into more extended dialogue scenes.
