Why and/or why not?

No. Biased. Look at the Hilary mess. She backed a treacherous human all based on her ****ing gender

Yes and no.  Her philanthropy and attention to social issues are applause :stalkga: worthy but I feel like we don't need another T***p (in the sense of a celebrity in the WH).   Her advocacy is beautiful and hope it never ceases.

Although her statements with the Dali Lama about how we are "witnessing a system failure" and her "Emotional Revolution" speech at Yale are two instances where her brilliance and potential shine through [Not to say her commentaries through her music and art aren't!]

I think she's too honest to be a politician. For such a shape shifting, high concept, image-based pop star, it's weird how see-through she is

Honestly, besides LGBT issues, we don't really know her thoughts on issues. What's Gaga's preferred healthcare plan? What's her opinion on taxes? What are her views on the debt? What does she think about College affordability? Does she think government should play a role in the job market?

You get the point, it's so weird to me that Gaga meant so hard for Hillary yet we know so little about why she supported her. Gaga didn't really give speeches that indepth on policy.

It probably comes down to the basic differences for Gaga, like it does for many people who vote for Democrats:

1. Pro choice

2. Equal rights

3. Healthcare (for all)

I doubt she thinks much about taxes, other than wanting taxes to be fair and equal. (Plus, the whole deal where one candidate was so clearly qualified and prepared and the other was ready for grade school. Lol)

Gaga has always spoken in broader concepts than in details. It's always about love, acceptance, peace...etc...and rarely about specifics. This pretty much shows she has an artistic mind and soul, not a political one.

So, why did she back Bill and Obama? For their gender?

Like me she probably doesn't know the ins-and outs of policy and politics etc.

But if she learned them I think she may be very good..... she's extremely intelligent and accomplished in the spheres she is acquainted with. She has a detailed mind when she talks about art.

Also in regards to diplomacy, she can be very much like a politician in her iNTERVIEWS!!!!!! Very good at diplomatically answering questions, firing back at the interviewer, diverting the subject etc.......

I didn't really get Gaga or Madonna's extreme support for Hillary...... but then I think, in their high up positions, maybe they know more about the political game they've met people ?
Gaga met with Julian Assange.

I was a Bernie supporter.

She once Tweeted that legalising weed would fix the financial crisis :rip: that was 2012 but still

Also, I think it's too hard work and too patriarchic for her. HRC must have been very strong to face the hard work, misogyny and sexism of DC..

That was awful. Hillary had a lot of good ideas, Gaga could have just listed 2 or 3. She could've just said "Hillary will protect the healthcare of the poorest Americans, protect the rights of LGBT people and will make college more affordable for the middle class".

There, that's an answer from a ****ing high school junior better then the one Gaga gave.

while she isn't clueless about politics, i don't think she would be ready to be a president.

+ in that video i think she was just having one of those days: 808609TheCultureShowLadyGagaTheMotherMon

i think if anyone in pop culture today was to become president, it would be beyonce, but just because everyone kisses her ass on everything. i don't think gaga would've been an excellent president, considering there is so much that that work craves from one.

but her ideologies are undoubtedly something politics need.

She has potential if she follows the correct guidelines and detox her image from 2008-2014.
