oheyitso 2,844 Posted May 10, 2017 Share Posted May 10, 2017 I think with US Radio the problem is the amount of new releases that have come out recently, radios are deciding which songs they wish to support and want to represent the songs that can be big in the summer. The steady increases with Ga are brilliant considering how her relationship with US radio is still so fragile and the big songs that have come out like I'm The One which will be a hit either way. GagaMyBlood95 9,915 Posted May 10, 2017 Share Posted May 10, 2017 I had an interesting talk to a certain person who is working for a big digital platform (can't really say the name) about the way companies deal with positions, placement etc. And I mentioned Spotify and their TTH playlist, and she basically said that companies (in our case labels) are probably BIDDING for certain positions. So if Interscope is, lets say ready to pay 10 000$ for TC to be #3, but Capitol and some other labels bid more for the first three positions, TC will end up being #4. And so on.
