Btw, my relationship with Fashion! is very similar - one day I went from thinking 'eh, it's ok filler track' to loving it and... never turned back... It's a joke! Might be the only track I still listen to from ARTPOP other than Mary Slay Holland To me, this song is the "Fashion of his love" of this album. It's a clear homage to one of her biggest idols. The song has David Bowie's "Let's Dance" written all over it and i think that's cute. Just like FOHL has "I wanna dance with somebody" written all over it and we all know Whitney Houston is Gaga's other greatest idol and has been a huge influence during the BTW era.
