Isn't it illegal for this dude to be selling his remixes though? I mean, there is a minimum downpayment at least for those things...

I don't like pitched voices in remixes, except for that it's well done (and he shouldn't sell it).

Gagadonna

The vocals are indeed a bit awkward

but that's okay, it fits the whole thing

Chew Fu and Andrelli remixes are still way better

I believe this site is donations, and if you donate, you can get a free copy of his remix. It's sketchy, but I don't think it's illegal.

I can't be free if my hands are tied... 🧟‍♀️👰🏻

No. Bandcamp is basically how indie artists sell their music.

I'm pretty sure all the money goes to the person who runs the bandcamp as well.

Many big names (internet at least) use bandcamp.

https://homestuck.bandcamp.com/ One of the biggest webcomics in the world.

https://disparition.bandcamp.com/ Provider of the background music for the popular Welcome to Nightvale surreal horror/comedy podcast (and the other series by the same people). Many of the musicians they feature on their weather segments are also bandcamp regulars.

I think many vocaloid producers also use bandcamp to sell their music, if they decide to sell it.

So no, they're selling the track. Pay what you want is just a popular form of selling.

While I want to give remixers their proper due, selling work that they have no rights to sell (as any remix not commissioned by the label/artist is considered white label and nonofficial, no matter who does it) is kind of low down.

So honestly the person needs to be reported. Also, I'm not sure, but in the tags of the remix "mash-up" is listed as a tag, which means "nafe" may not even own the instrumental.

EDIT: Mash-up is listed on all their remixes. Though that means that either they're unintelligent and don't know that a mash-up and remix are entirely different things, or literally admit all their remixes are mash-ups.

I highly doubt Gaga cares, tbh. It's not like he's bringing in real bank..

Probably true, but it's not like he's going to get many fans like this either. He apparently has absolutely no musical presence before March 8, when he uploaded that demo remix. He doesn't have any facebook or social media. His only musical output is bandcamp, which is probably the last place to start, honestly. That where you go when you have a lot of fans willing to buy your original stuff.

I don't know. I just feel sorry for the dude and he's eventually doomed to be reported for what he's doing.

Though, also. I've only like his Till the World Ends remix anyways.
