Does Joanne have a chance for Album Of The Year at the Grammys?

LMAO ofc it would be nice, but you worry about Ed Sheeran and The Weekend better, they are likely going to be nominated. They are critically acclaimed and also everywhere aka making the waves.

And some other people who mostly be men will also be nominated. I don't think next years Grammy will be filled with plenty of women actually. But they can surprise me and prove me wrong ofc. Then again there are still many months before the eligibility months ending.

Don't forget that the voting members are also the artists, producers and everyone else in the showbiz itself, so if it is predictable results, that explains why.

The Fame Joanne

No, Nope, Nada, Non, Nein

Won't happen. I have hopes for Joanne/MR in other categories but would be surprised if any win comes out of it. I feel like commercial success plays a big role in that

I'm not expecting any nom for the big categories (I'd love to be proven wrong). I am however hoping for at least one win with pop vocal album.

Only two albums deserved an album of the year nod/ win: The Fame Monster and Born This Way (which got a well deserved nomination then Adele snatched the win). Joanne deserves Best Pop Vocal at least. ARTPOP would've been AOTY material if it was a bit more polished and execution was a bit more organised/ better.

Million Grammies is coming for the Song of the Year AND Record of the Year so get yah weaves ready!

Maybe Best Pop Vocal Album, but I'm sure "Million Reasons" will get Song of the Year nomination!

Maybe being nominated, but not winning. If it's not nominated for AOTY, then I think it'll probably be able to win Best Pop Vocal Album

Actually Joanne is just too good an album not to be nominated. No one makes an album like Joanne.

This. It's not my personal favorite, but friends of mine who study music and are actual artists themselves seem to love Joanne. So we will see.

Why are some of you comparing Joanne with The Fame Monster or other Gaga albums from the past? You should be comparing Joanne with other album releases from late 2016-2017, which is what the Grammy's will be doing. You're answering the wrong question.

Blasphemy. Absolutely blasphemous.

Just being honest. Her work in TFM is far more organized, artistic and superior to what came after. That doesn't say what came after was bad, but it was in no way an album of that year.

I kind of agree tbh!

BTW is my second fav Gaga album after TFM but i dont think it deserves album if the year

theres too mamy themes, its too long and feels like it has fillers... its just not cohesive enough for what id award album of the year to

Yeah. I adore BTW and I have so many copies and editions of it, but for AOTY, it's definitely TFM.

The Grammys do not reward commercial success. It's based on artistic acheivement and the quality of the music :poot:

It MIGHT get nominated.

The more I've listened to it, the more I wish it would have just been an EP. The first half of the album is solid but after Million Reasons it just seems like a WTF moment.

I don't think I've listened to Come to Mama, Hey Girl, or Angel Down for the past couple months. Not that they are bad on their own but the way they are placed in the album just makes me skip back to the beginning.

Agreed, let's bow down to pray for that AOTY, ROTY & SOTY nominations
