it seems the fanbase lost a bit of control once Gaga showed a bit of weakness and many people got over the being good. As well, as Born this Way was for many (not brute me) a period when monster united and felt a connection and everything. This was almost like a church/cult. Now it's a different cult, and it's not that bad.

Let people be who they are, though moral and ethic is important. Ofc, but it's just how society works, you have to deal with that your whole life

Well I think it became a common theme the moment Gaga released ARTPOP. Its commercial performance wasn't big like BTW or The Fame. Some react allergic to her changing music style and commercial performance. They have different expectations..

Don't you notice that those dramas always come from discussions about charts/radio updates or different music styles?

It is a forum based on a pop singer.

Pop culture is Hollywood culture which in most cases is vulgar, gossipy and not a very positive place at all.

Now combine that with the "sassiness", "fierceness" and "valid opinion" every homosexual individual seems (claims) to possess and as well with what the Internet has become as a culture and society. The result is a gossipy/ news/ everything forum that somehow accentates on a pop singer, in this case Lady Gaga.

You can't be mad, this is just a Lady Gaga version of ATRL

Well, you cannot expect every member of this forum to agree with what Gaga's doing, as every member shouldn't expect anymore that Gaga will please every single one of them every time. I can remember so well during the pre-BTW era that every monster was living in the forum and all full-on Monster mode because Gaga was delivering what was expected. Now that Gaga has evolved, some are stuck in the past and some are supportive with her evolution.

Though i wanna point out that some members do get away with being unnecessarily mean in the forum too, and that's something that should stop.

I just have to say, I've been observing Gaga Daily since 2010 (I still can't believe it's been that long...) and I've always seen immaturity, cattiness, rudeness and people obsessing for YEARS about the charts and whether Gaga is big enough or whatever. Gaga fans, for some reason, have always been obsessed with these things, so I just don't see any real difference between the behavior on this board now versus years ago.

But it's not just any pop star it's one who literally for years now has spoken about how she wants the world and the internet to be a kinder place and has spoken against being c*nty for th sake of it. That's why it seems vile and bitchy commentsshould be less accepted here

My original Gaga forums from back in 2009 through 2014 weren't as bad as the shade is here on GGD, which was sort of shocking when I joined last year but by now I've totally adapted to.

In all seriousness, I think a lot of the fans aren't really serious when they're being shady, or they don't know whether or not they come across as disrespectful. I really wouldn't generalize. And there really isn't any way to change it, other than handling it case by case when it's taken too far.
