Because people here were mocking those who say racism against whites isn't real and I was clarifying what maybe some meant. Sometimes people tend to interpret a systemic racism argument incorrectly. 

It's important to differentiate because clearly white people CAN be targets of bigotry and hate crimes.

It depends on what you mean by "racist". Can some call a white person a cracker and harass them? Yes. Can something target white people for being white? Yes. But today, I think we tend to talk about institutionalized racism. And that's usually hard for white folks to be categorized into. Ah this is awful. Something seriously needs to change with gun laws. It's pretty frightening. 

Side note, "I hate white/black people" is such a strange thing to say or even think. Like it's almost comical, how can you hate millions of people solely because of skin. It's skin

The sad thing is I can already hear the white people crying out to use this as a receipt for why white people can be victims of racism instead of focusing on the actual issue.

plus if people weren't racist toward him and his family tree over he decades I doubt this would've happened anyway, his hatred for white people is kind of valid but doing what he did was a ridiculous and down right idiotic decision. RIP to the victims
