EW: The Cure - B+

thats actually a reasonable review.

Gaga's in kindof a catch-22 situation where when she experiments she risks straying off current radio sounds, but when she plays it safe she gets criticism for not being Gaga enough.  Thats good though because people recognize that Gaga is a very individualistic artist and expect her to play that role rather than being the safe artists with constant radio hits that are only good for the moment.

I like how they kinda dragged her but still gave B+. "Generic" music always wins :ladyhaha:

live each day like Gaga might drop an album

Go ahead and hang up your pink cowboy hats — gone are the twangy guitars and rock-and-roll signifiers of Joanne.

What kinda review :what:

Saying any B list pop girl could do it then saying it's one of the catchiest, most fun songs she's released in years :what:

Oh well, still a praise, even if it was disguising a drag :tony:

This magazine shortened name almost got me triggered

But after reading it through, I am calmed.  Slay a bit tbh with that support!

I don't feel like this was a bad review at all. I respect the fact that Gaga doesn't toe the line. She either goes full on in your face with a message or gives you a bop. She doesn't make half-baked "political" statements like other artists and her entire discography is full of messages AND bops even on Joanne.

A-Yo is a generic country song when you boil it down. She's also done a "tropical" sound throughout her career Eh Eh, So Happy I could Die, Edge of Glory, DWUW, and Dancing in Circles say hi.

It is refreshing to have a fun song be released instead of a self-serious song like they said

Guys stop already. Gaga is known for her status quo changing boundary pushing sounds. Bad Romance or Born This Way was not generic, and were smash hits. :awkney:

Honestly this song has been getting way more praise than I expected. I love it, but it's kind of shocking me. This review I agree with, but I give it an A- considering she's taking these trends, and doing them better than the other artists.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

the review is actually accurate

The Cure is not an incredible piece of art but it's very catchy and addicting :music:

Spot-on review. Pretty much sums up my feelings about the song. I would have given it a straight B, maybe B- though, so they're being kind in that regard.
