are these paid reviews?

If anything, it keeps the landscape the same way it's been for the last 2 years

try considering the fact that Gaga always wants to be unpredictable with her sound and direction :lolly:

this sound is very predictable tho :sure: but no one would have thought that she'd be predictable, so she was, indeed, unpredictable :tony:

It won't. It's the other way around. This is a sell out, and, on the modern pop scene, she's known to be one of the few artists who doesn't sell out, and that gained her respect. Till know. This hurts her reputation.

Her reputation is that she does what she wants, when she wants. The Cure is not an exception. So you can bring your sociology of fame theories to other place.

I don't really get how "The Cure" can be described as a "remedy for the pop landscape" when it sounds like most of pop/edm songs on the radio   #noshade #ilovethesong #Ijustdon'tgetthecomment

but promo is promo and praise is praise 2prvb07.jpg

I guess it never says anything about changing the pop scene... but she's using actual vocals instead of auto-tune which is common with this type of production..

You say this like it's fact, which is definitely is not. Why is being "on trend" being a "sell-out", and will "hurt her reputation"? The song is high quality, her vocals are fresh and strong, message and content are impeccable, and definitely not made only to pander to the GP.  Why would it hurt her reputation?

Because it goes against her own philosophy. When i say it's going to hurt her reputation, i'm not talking about music critics or fan bases...it's about herself, because this is bling not the music at it's best. She said she'd never write music for the charts, and this is exactly the opposite thing.

It's just my opinion hun. Don't take it as a fact, i'm beyond irrelevant. I'm just expressing what i feel.

The Fame was "pop trash" too though. People won't come to that conclusion. This is Gaga we are talking about. They will insist it's one of "her phases". She released Judas and Alejandro FFS how bad could her reputation get from a tropical song?

Sorry, no. The Fame sounded unlike anything in 2008. The Fame, along with the black eyed peas, were trend setters, back in 2008/9. The Cure is following a trend that can be seen in charts, not in styles. She's following a commercial trend, not a style one, which is even worst.

I'm not saying it will end her career (it will be the opposite, since i think The Cure will be a hit). It hurts her artistically speaking, and it goes against her philosophy of not selling out.

The meltdown:air:

She ALREADY proved and cemented herself. There is no need for more of the "pretentious artistic" lectures.

i agree, there is no need, i'm just doing it because i can. We're on a gaga forum where i can express my opinions, so that's what i'm doing.

As you can gain respect, you can also lose it tho.

well but that's always been Gaga

most of her songs feature her real vocals and when she's altering it it's not to make the voice sound perfect but rather to experiment with it and create dimension

considering that, they shouldn't have said "the cure remedied the pop landscape" because if we're being honest it's not true :reductive:

they could have just said that unlike most of her peers she sounds real and not overproduced which would have been the truth 100%

This whole thing is just... bullsh.it. The song has tropical beats incorporated into it, but is it bad? Is it haphazardly composed, mixed, sang? Was it released just to be on trend, just to catch coins? I do not think so. As I said, the song is high quality, her vocals are fresh and strong, message and content are impeccable, and definitely not made only to pander to the GP. It is the music and the bling.

Also, I am well aware that what you wrote is an opinion, and that you are irrelevant, hun. However, the way you phrased your "opinions" aims to make it sound like fact seems like, which is both annoying and an eye-sore. :lolly:

If u are well aware, then why you're so angry? :rip: half of the forum is attacking me for expressing an opinion. should i be a better fan a praise everything she does, even if i think the opposite? :rip:

'and definitely not made only to pander to the GP'

Well, this is the point. I think it is. it has all the requirements. The song will be a commercial success (i think so), which is what gaga wants right now. But not because of the money, but because of fame. It's always about that.
