Gaga's fans are diverse in their taste in music. Whatever she puts out will have fans and detractors, doesn't make them any less of a fan. The fans that feel the need for Gaga to have near universal acclaim are the ones that are insecure tbh. It is a song I would put on my Summer playlist and play by the pool or at the beach. It's just very mellow and relaxing - something we don't get from Gaga often. She doesn't have any songs that have this kind of ambience. I understand disliking it - it's as jarring of a difference as Jewels n' Drugs or Cheek to Cheek may be to some.
