I've noticed something about gaga...

She can't go half way on ANYTHING. She has to go full out, take it to some extreme level, and then go further to make sure that gene if she's doing what's trendy, she's the only one doing it the way she does it.

Born This Way actually aided me in coming to this conclusion. She said she was making an album to help raise people's self esteem, but she had an entire concept surrounded but themes of self love, and every performance or interview was very preachy. The song couldn't just be a self love anthem, it had to be a self love anthem for everyone from gays to cholas.

Joanne, she couldn't just go the more indie root. It couldn't just be a more ethereal era, the looks all had to have cowboy hats and booty shorts. She had to do the country thing all the way or it just wouldn't be gaga.

And that's the thing, cuz if you look at it like that, Joanne is really the most gaga of any album. She took the concept (she says doesn't exist) and brought to some other level where she was performing in dive bars with $50 music videos.

And this is what I love, cuz even if she doesn't make what some of you guys love, she still puts in 150%, and you have to give her props for that.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Sis she was dealing with behind the scenes drama with her manager, her label not fully supporting her vision, depression that made her borderline suicidal, pain from her hip that wasn't fully recovered yet, and boom I almost forgot the media backlash. It's a miracle we had what we had as an era :emma:

Girl even funded the G.U.Y. video herself just cuz she was so extra. And that's why we love ha :gaycat:

Spoiler

really tho, her extra-ness is why i love her. dat and da vocales.

To me, she went halfway with Joanne's sounds and lyrical content. Songs like Diamond Heart, Sinner's Prayer and Joanne are examples of what it could have been but others like Perfect Illusion, Dancing In Circles, A-Yo and John Wayne are still too pop.

The Fame Joanne

That's why all her eras are so diferent from another. Bc they are all so extreme

Obviously she took the art theme VERY seriously and went to extremes there as well. The album cover was designed by Jeff Koons and this happened
