Those innocent people in IS territory are used as human shields and exploited/tortured to keep land, its the exact reason they interweave themselves into civilian areas, because there's less option to bomb them and combat them.

I know its a tricky question but what else is the US supposed to do? Without intervention IS will claim a large part of the middle east through mass murder and terrorism, we cant exactly just 'mind our business' either because those countries being compromised poses a very significant threat to our existence too.

KILLING INNOCENT CIVILIANS IS NOT THE ANSWER

Nobody disagrees with that... but what is the alternative when IS use innocent citizens as a buffer to deter bombing?? As little citizens as possible are harmed when these bombings take place, but it is entirely impossible to not harm any.

So then, the solution is just to kill them all ?

Number one is accepting refugees, creating safe zones, supporting and contributing way more in humanitarian aid ...

All military intervention does is magnify the recruitment for terrorist organizations. Daesh exists because of the invasion of Iraq.

I get what you mean and you're right but on the other hand, their solution is to kill everyone too, i know fire doesnt kill fire but...

that's really a hypocritical thing to say, so if ISIS dropped a bomb in the US would you be all like, "welp war is war, at the end people die"... I highly doubt it

If a terror group was sweeping through my country beheading and torturing everyone who didn't bow down to them i would rather bombs fell to kill the terrorists than get beheaded by the terrorists...

people seem to have this picture of civilians coexisting among terrorists and getting caught up in bombfire going about their business. this is not the case. the civilians are specifically used by IS to be near enough to them to prevent people bombing IS so they can expand more and kill more people, they are forced to fight for them or do other things for them otherwise they are killed.

the alternative is to stop bombing them and let them slowly capture an entire destablised region and use that region's weaponry to intimidate or wipe out entire western countries i guess?

@Cocaine Heart Til It Happens To You :trollga:

When America finally has to fight a war on their own land, and foreign nations drop bombs on them to keep undesirable elements down, we'll see how opinions change.

But until then, forget about who destabilized the area in the first place, it's not relevant :trollga:

That's something I often think about, how would the react if this stuff happened in countries the west thinks actually matter?

and don't say "finally" as if it should happen, war should be kept away from American soil.

It's not a "should", it's a "when".

So you're cool with people dying as long as it's not on American soil? You may want to rephrase that mess of a statement.

It's not a when. War will not touch American soil. We have geographic advantages and lots of money to keep it from happening.

And no, it's not that I want war but I'd MUCH rather a war happen a way from me if it has to happen. Again tho, I'd really prefer war not happen at all.

War is always good unless it's on your land affecting your people :trollga:
Yep. War started by them, started the problem to begin with but more of it should do wonders :trollga:
