It's things like this that should open people's eyes into seeing how terrible of a situation LGBTQ+ rights and discrimination has become. People are literally getting beaten to death because they love someone of the same sex. It's disgusting and so heartbreaking.

I shared a short piece of my essay entitled "Prejudice, Liberation, and the LGBTQ+ Community" in class a few months ago—pretty self-explanatory—and I was giving statistics that talked about murders and the suicide rates of people involved in the LGBTQ+ Community, and you know what?? I heard some people laugh and giggle in the background. 

It's honestly so disgusting that we are not taking that seriously, that we, as a community, are so taboo. Using "gay" like it's a bad thing, not discussing LGBTQ+ rights when it comes to civil rights, and even mentioning the word "gay" are looked at as bad things. I'm sick and tired of it.

Things like this are why we need to spread the message across to so many other people that this is an issue. This isn't just about bathrooms (though they are important), but it's about people's lives. 

Hopefully one day, the LGBTQ+ Community will finally become a liberated movement, but until then, we need to educate people about this.

Those people that made and thought of creating this camp should be imprisoned for life, in an isolation cell for their entire life.

That being said, the gay community itself is insanely divisive within its Westernized societal context..whether its the masc/fem...top/bottom....bodily descriptions we assign (twink, bear, daddy, etc)..or how it relates on social media....or even through ****ography and sexual expectations

...I think (and this is simplified--cuz there's a lot more going on) that the LGBTQ community's "hot mess" is a direct result of the discrimination and persecution that it faces....so the community often turns inward on itself and self destructs (divide and conquer, ya'll...it works!)  [You hurt the ones you love?]

...where are those lived messages of love/acceptance/diversity instead of all the "-isms" and "-phobias" within the community itself!  LGBTQ is so ready to assimilate to the norm such that those that don't assimilate are rejected from the community...and, at times, I'm like, ya'll ****ed it up so here we go  but, again, never is it okay to promulgate violence or discrimination towards anyone...especially marginalized people....

....although the revolution can get violent...come thru queer, communist, socialist or anarchist GGD members!   I'm here for it:

EDIT: on the topic, folks need to start understanding the difference between sex and gender..won't go into it here but one is biological and the other is social...and they both come in many forms.

This is so sad. Things like religion continue to hold society back more than any other force in this world. It's most sad when these social restraints are allowed room to fester into something which actually physically and emotionally destroys lives.

It's a republic within the Russian Federation, it was an independent country until 1999 when Russia went to war with them
