This is one of the most pressing matters of our current time. Of all the states with nuclear power, North Korea would rank among the least responsible in their use. Japan and South Korea are backed hugely by the US, North Korean relations with China are quite good, one wrong slip could spell a true WW3, and at this stage of technological advancement, I'm not really sure how we would make it. One of the other factors is Russia is against the North Koreans having nuclear power as they are highly volatile. All around, this one is complicated and a mess of different interests go into it. The very most that Trump could do in this presidency, is not **** this up, because it will likely mean actions more than sanctions, and as I said...it's hard to tell how that would end up. North Korea is very, very poor compared to South Korea, and the South will have to spend decades and $$$ just to bring North up to speed. Plus you got the issue of deciding who's the new leader, and how to convince some of them to step down (possibly ending the Kim dynasty). Basically, it will be like uniting West and East Germany, but with much, much more difficulty and risk of disaster.
