Why is this controversial?

Why are you cringing?

The only thing wrong with this is that Pepsi is low brow and Coke is far better :trollga:

Loving the blonde wig on Kendall

I'm not seeing why this is controversial

Advertisements have been taking advantage of popular social movements forever. I'd rather them do something like this than have another empty, meaningless ad, I guess

Absolutely nothing makes sense in the video, the scenes are just randomly put together, and then you have Kendall Jenner saving the world by being a model :neyde: I was just uncomfortable watching it

I get what they're going for but the video doesn't really work.

Clearly, they support peace, creativity and the power of the people but keeping it far away from any political alignment and having a Kardashian in it makes it just feel off. It's like they're trying to have a strong message but being extremely hesitant to say it.

I was expecting her to be insensitive to a certain walk of life or something, this seems like a normal Pepsi ad to me. I don't get the controversy, thanks for getting my hopes high and letting me down, next. :neyde:

I think the "controversy" is that Pepsi is trying to latch itself onto the current protests against racism, sexism and xenophobia in a really clumsy and disingenuous way, with no other goal than to sell soda.

they're pulling a 2011 Katy Perry.
