Saint Laurent 4,862 Posted March 22, 2017 Share Posted March 22, 2017 There have reportedly been shots fired outside the Palace of Westminster, home of the Houses of Parliament in London. Westminster is currently on lockdown and Parliament has been suspended. A police officer has been stabbed and is currently receiving medical attention. The Prime Minister was in the Palace of Westminster (in the division lobby) at the time, but was escorted to her car by security and was quickly driven away. It is unclear as yet whether this was an attempted act of terror, will update as news does. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39355940 Unconfirmed: There has also been reports of gunfire on Westminster Bridge, which is not far from Westminster Palace. Not likely. Prime Ministers questions was only a couple of hours ago and the Chamber was full. It's unlikely that they'd still conduct Prime Ministers questions if an attack was imminent. Maybe it was in response to the electronics ban; maybe it was instead of electronics due to the ban; maybe it was unrelated. We just don't know yet.
