It doesn't go with their new sound, which I love 1 Million times more than SOY. Charlotte Quinn 1,078
I don't think these so-called songwriters (Sia, Ed) know Rih's style that well. Neither SOY or Cheap Thrills would've work for her. She's much more urban these days. Those songs are great but lack her sassiness. "Me and my friends at the table doing shots". Everybody knows Rih got no friends. She got bitches

Little Mix have so many hits in the UK, the only territory they are properly promoted. They're also popular in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and throughout Asia and Europe where they'll play arenas all year. The problem with LM in America isn't having the wrong song, they just haven't been promoted properly at all. Touch is very radio friendly, but they have no radio deal so therefore it won't ever get played. LM have had their chance to smash in the US. However, unlike Flopth Harmony, LM actually are huge in their home territory and seen as pop royalty. 5H only have 1 top 10 hit in their home country and can't sellout and arena tour. Meanwhile LM are playing 52 UK arenas and stadiums this year. Its pointless to compare the 2 just because they're girl groups. They have no similarity in artistic credibility, sound, performance ability, popularity, looks, style, or friendship.

StrawberryBlond 14,881
It was seriously considered for Little Mix? Didn't expect that. Ed really doesn't seem that taken with the song, honestly. He really just put it on the album as per his label's request. He doesn't care, so long as he gets a hit. A bit depressing, really. Usually, an songwriter only gives their lesser tracks to others because if the track was good enough, they would have kept it for themselves. Ed seems like the first that doesn't really work that way. Even if the track isn't as good, he'll keep it for himself because he wants a hit, instead of offloading it onto someone else. 8 hours ago, RainbowBlonde said: I get the feeling that Rihanna choosing tracks for her album is like shopping for groceries at the supermarket... This is why I really can't respect her as a songwriter. Yes, her name's on every track for the first time but knowing her, that still doesn't mean much. There's no way she writes the majority of the lyrics. You don't go through your whole career relying on others to make your songs and then suddenly be the main writer of an entire album's worth of material. So, I always give someone a look if they say that Rihanna's an involved artist. If she was, she'd sound a lot more enthusiastic about her work. You can tell Gaga writes all her stuff because she always wants to talk about it. Those who don't avoid that line of questioning.
