Viewers have noticed that her face has changed in recent episodes Some have said she had plastic surgery Others have said she's pregnant or fat But it seems like the real reason has to do with Sarah's health issues. Sarah was diagnosed with a kidney disease at the age of 9 and underwent a kidney transplant in 2012. Sarah told Good Morning America in 2012: “I try and make it so that Haley is always sitting down. If you notice, she’s always sitting down a lot … or leaning and texting,” she said of her character Haley Dunphy. “When Haley walks up the stairs that’s like my workout for the week.” Apparently, she suffers from pain a lot because of it. Some have shared that meds are most likely what is changing her face. Back in January Sarah had to skip the SAG Awards because of her health issues.
