It's not it's too vulgar, it is explicit, but the actual problems laid on some of the people who take Gaga as some classy star who can't have fun, but of course their opinions wrong and they know it, Gaga have been posing in her own flesh for numerous times now, and there were times she enjoyed walking in her underwear in public, she knows how to have fun enough, they just afraid that Gaga will pull something sexual because when she does, they cannot make fun or judge harshly on anyone who were being slutty anymore, like they did to Miley Cyrus. It is all just about pride IMHO

Matter of fact, Gaga's sexual lyrics are not as explicit as Anaconda for example.

Also, the irony is that some of the people who against these sexual aongs to be singles are  the same person who bopped through Work it, Like A Virgin, Hot stuff, Physical, Lady Marmalade, I'm A Slave 4 U, Toxic and many more similiar songs which are sexual songs.

The truth is it kind is too "sexual". But I'm over the society banning good stuff like explicit songs, as if sex was a bad thing or something to protect the children from. It's just natural :air:

THANK YOU OP !!!!

Plus I don't know where y'all have been during the early years but Gaga never was supposed to play it safe and politically correct. I guess these members care a little bit too much about her becoming an even more mainstream product that she is now and try to shy away from ANY kind of controversy.

Sex sells, it doesn't shock anyone anymore :toofunny:

DIC has the most interesting instrumental and most Gaga-like lyrics period. why people here trash such good songs and praise crap like Hey Girl or Angel Down.

I stan DIC, like i want it to be a single as much as the next DIC stan but the "lets funk downtown / funk me downtown" is a little TOO close to sounding like "let's fxck downtown / fxck me downtown" which is obviously the point, but it's only going to make the middle america moms clutch their pearls in disgust as their children sing along.

somehow uptown funk you up/uptown fxck you up is acceptable because... a man sang it and wasn't referring to sex

Tonight (I'm loving you) was a great song that wasn't too sexual after the radio mix.

DIC is not that great of a song and it is awkwardly sexual even for me, a long time diehard fan. I don't even wanna hear about Gaga jingling her bells, so I doubt the GP will

I would like to add that in non english countries most of the GP don't pay attention to the lyrics, they just enjoy the song if it's good and catchy :trollga:

Your point of view isn't universal

The difference is that it's about female masturbation, and the examples that always pop up in these threads (LoveGame, Side to Side, Anaconda) are about regular old straight sex. It's more acceptable unfortunately.

I'm not a little chartster so if this became a single and we got a bomb ass video I would be happy with it, but I won't expect it to be a hit.

Also, let's not forget that songs like S&M actually reached #1 despite being very straight forward. :air:

DIC doesn't sound like the rest of the album, but it's still a gem that needs to become a single.

Economy

Theres always double standards with male vs female. But its not as if there isnt a tone of stuff female artists can do that male artists cant

either way the only part i worry about is the "touch myself to pass the time" part. I dunno how ppl will take that. The "funk me downtown" im not as worried cuz sex is on radio all the time

also it has a dark/creepy tone in some parts.

i dunno. It may smash, it may not

the only other option would be A-YO
