I wasn't indifferent the day when I didn't vote for Trump in November. Can't say the same for the 60+ million who did. Now we have this result thanks to them. I have a marketplace plan through ambetter that was offered through the Affordable Care Act thanks to the amazing President Obama. It was the only option I had once losing my job and their private insurance that came along with it. My husband's work insurance coverage for a family is $1,000/monthly out of check and we could not afford that because that is literally half his check. He had to keep himself as an individual plan ($150/monthly) and my 10 month old child was lucky enough to get CHIPS through the Medicaid program, which is free. I don't know what we're going to do if me or my child lose insurance. I don't work -- i'm a stay at home mother and we barely make it work pay check to pay check. If I lose my insurance I can't get my birth control (which is $350 without insurance) or annual checkups. I'm such a nervous wreck because this is MY reality right now.
