Get informed, Netherlands breached Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, you cannot revoke access to embassy or refuse a minister talking to their citizens... Reason why Netherlands cite "security" as the threat is this because there is no legitimate excuse for them to take such action and breach international agreements.

The nerve of ignorance is unbelievable. Saudi Arabia executes gays for examples, Russia jails gays for gay propaganda, you cannot block their diplomats either. Erdogan might have used stupid language but he is right to be angry, Netherlands' actions have no ground in international law.

Yes they do. It's their country. The USA just did the same to Russian ambassadors. The Netherlands control their home, not Turks. Turks can hit the road and take their little rule book that says the Netherlands can't rule their land with them. Besides, Erdogan is the one who started this with threats to sanction. If you threaten, you better be ready to follow through with whatever comes back at you. Tough cookies, islamic fascists!

Turkey is the top country with the most journalist at the jail.

All the Kurdish cities destroyed by the Turkish army.

Politicians are in jail.

You can't even protest Erdogan anymore.

Turkey is under total oppression.

None of those are related to this topic.

Also there is no such thing as Kurdish cities. Soil of Turkey is Turkish soil.
Kurdish Seperatist Terrorists breached ceasefire, and tried to seize lands in southern eastern territory; only thing is that Turkey actually has a capable army to destroy them.

Nice to know that you defend terrorists that like to explode themselves among innocent turkish civilians. This shows how sincere you can also be while commenting on Turkey. Nice.

The official statement of the Dutch government:

"The Dutch cabinet has decided to withdraw the landing rights of the Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu in the Netherlands. After a public invitation to Turkish Dutch to massively participate in a public meeting with Minister Cavusoglu in Rotterdam on Saturday, March 11th, which endangered public order and safety.
The Netherlands was talking with the Turkish authorities to discuss the visit and search for an acceptable solution. There were discussions going on whether the Turkish authorities could move the meeting or could give a more private and smaller speech in a Turkish consulate or embassy. Even before these discussions were completed, the Turkish authorities publicly threatened with sanctions. This makes the search for a reasonable solution impossible. Thereupon Netherlands has announced to withdraw landing rights.
The Netherlands regrets the course of events and remains committed to negotiations with Turkey. The Netherlands and Turkey have a friendly relationship. Within that relationship, we searched for an acceptable solution.
Many Dutch people of Turkish background are entitled to vote for the referendum on the Turkish Constitution. The Dutch government has no objection to meetings in our country to inform them about it. But these meetings are not contributing to tensions in our society and anyone who wants a meeting must adhere to instructions of the competent authority so that public order and security can be guaranteed. It should be noted that the Turkish government does not want to respect those rules in this matter."

Do you have any understanding of international laws ?

You have to provide a legit excuse to take such precautions. We all know that "security threat" is made up since it is presented totally out of nowhere, and we also know that real excuse is the ruling party's fear of losing mindless right wing votes to PVV.

Erdogan threatened because Netherlands breached international rights on the ground that curing ruling party is giving to Islamophobia because they are shitless scared of losing the elections to PVV.

FYI I am a liberal atheist Turk from jewish-muslim background living in Canada, I have no sympathy towards Erdogan but I do not have sympathy towards ignorance against Erdogan or whomever else either.

Can you start using your brain and think what you just said ?

Do you want Erdogan to rule Netherlands ? Because that's exactly what you described.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Like, you confuse yourself I think.

Erdogan and the Turks have no place in the Netherlands controlling their people. Hit the road. You threaten them, you get banned. Erdogan can't do anything to anyone. The Netherlands are fine without that rat and that awful country has no place in NATO, either.

The didn't have an 'excuse'. The legit reason was because of security threats (the riots that ensued of violent foreigners). They were right and turned the minister right back.

The minister was told way before the riots broke. She insisted on staying anyway, causing a fight for attention.

We all know the real reason Netherlands breached international agreements is that ruling party is scared to lose PVV so they want to keep right wing votes by pretending not to allow Turkey do such things they did million times before. Turkish political rallies filled up arenas in Germany etc countless times before...

The nerve of ignorance is unbelievable. Saudi Arabia executes gays for examples, Russia jails gays for gay propaganda, you cannot block their diplomats either. Erdogan might have used stupid language but he is right to be angry, Netherlands' actions have no ground in international law.

Actually we did not breach the rules, you are really uninformed. First and foremost, there were diplomatic talks going on between the Netherlands and Turkey in regards to safety measures, the public meeting would have endangered public order and safety. While these talks were going on, Erdogan threatened us with sanctions, which the parliament there upon responded with withdrawing landing rights to Minister Cavusoglu in Rotterdam. At the same time another minister, Minister Kaya decided to enter the Netherlands by car from Germany. there was a clear statement made by our parliament to Erdogan, and this was totally a mistake from the Turkey's part, on behalve of the parliament and mayor Aboutaleb of Rotterdam, the police from Rotterdam escorted this minister back to the german/dutch border.

Also on the same day as the referendum in Turkey, we are holding our own elections, so it's a very precocious strategy from Turkey's part to meddle in our own affairs...cuz this will definitely influence the outcome of the elections

Lmao, you have no understanding of international rights or diplomacy. You cannot even realize that you approach to issues no different than Erdogan except for the fact that you are dutch, not turk.

You just don't understand that Erdogan thinks exactly like you, do you ?

Also, let me speak your language for a brief second: You get banned, you get retaliated. See the riots, could Netherlands do the same for Turkey ? No, that's how much you get to speak. Moreover, Turkey has the second biggest standing army in NATO which is also highly capable. Also Turkey is the most important US ally geo-strategically, where do you think US would launch operations to Mid East if not from Turkey ? You should open your eyes to see whom is more indispensable for NATO.

Gosh, stop being an idiot. Riots started because Netherlands breached international conventions on diplomacy and belittled Turkish ministers, not because of a political rally; there would be no riots if political rally was allowed as it has been million times in the past.

I wanted to make a seperate post for the rest.

Number 1:

There is NO law breeched. She is not a diplomat. She happens to be a Turkish national with a nice job, that's it.  As she is unrelated to Foreign Affairs, she so can't invoke 'derived' head of state immunity, nor diplomatic immunity as this visit was not part of a diplomatic mission.

More so the Netherlands can fire back at Turkey when it comes to that because Turkey in principe violated an international law: non-intervention principle. That they intervened in the domestic affairs of the Netherlands. Because when the Netherlands expressed concerns over public safety they still sent Kaya over which created further escalation thus meddling with Dutch order. Which is an important details as nobody of the Turkish delegation had yet entered the Netherlands.

Number 2:

If you don't want to adhere to international laws such as every country has the sovereign right to bar anyone they consider a persona non grata like that minister, maybe they should follow their own election laws:

Turkish law prohibits campaigning abroad - as row with Europe deepens

The relevant section of the law is Article 94/A of the general election law, which explicitly bans campaigning abroad or in foreign diplomatic missions.

http://www.dpa-international.com/topic/turkish-law-prohibits-campaigning-abroad-row-europe-deepens-170309-99-595734

Number 3:

The irony of voting left in the country that you live but conservative or right for the other country is staggering. You are using a tool given to the people in democracy, the right to protest, only to use it to make sure that the people in the other country are actually going to be more opressed.

And one last thing:

Calling people Nazi in a town that was razed down to the ****ing ground by actual Nazis is offensive and pure provocation.
