I gave it a 9.5/10 lmao, the rest were just either perfect 10s or my holy 11 default_sha1.gif

I'd like the top 3 to be 2 10s and a holy 11 default_sha1.gif

I love this!!!!!!!   But I loved all promo from the AL era and I've spent a nice chunk of change buying "collectibles" from it as well.   Of all my Madonna and Gaga stuff, I think I own more AL era crap than any other.  Erotica is a close second tho. Lol

Comments:

Probably the only song on this album that really made me cry, like, ugly cry. Madonna was so brave to write this song and record in general and is very underappreciated for that, I still can't go through the "There was a time I had a mother, it was nice" part without feeling that stab. I love how she sings it with pretty positive sounding vocals yet the lyrics are very, catchable...? The part at the end with "My mother died when I was five, And all I did was sit and cry; I cried and cried and cried all day, Until the neighbors went away. They couldn't take my loneliness, I couldn't take their phoniness. My father had to go to work, I used to think he was a jerk. I didn't know his heart was broken, And not another word was spoken, He became a shadow of the father I was dreaming of." - @Antonio

Here she confess her fears since her childhood and the loss of her parents, one literally and the other symbolically. A song dark lyrically yet so uptempo it's disturbing. It's almost decent but the rap part drags it down for me. - @Dr Evil

This song is pure gold. Growing up without a mother must be extremely painful and lonely. Madonna’s father probably didn’t deal with it very well but it’s also easy to forget that he also lost a wife and had to be both parents for those kids. A beautiful realization from Madonna in form of music. The "I made a vow that I would never need another person ever/Turned my heart into a cage a victim of a kind of rage” always gets me. - @Bio

Following the best ballad of the album is the greatest electronic element.  Deeply personal, totally unafraid yet performed with such naïveté in the verses and full command in the chorus and rap, "Mother And Father" is more than just a personal moment.   Before you know it, the track turns into a hands in the air disco tech sizzler you'll be singing along with loudly before it's end.  "I've got to give it up" indeed!  - @MonsterJames333

Everyone seems to love this song but I find it so ridiculous and annoying. I know that there is a purpose on her sounding like a demon baby and I definitely think that she hit the nail in the artistic aspect of the song. But this is definitely something I would not listen to, if I wasn't listening to the album as a whole. The transition to the "I got to give it up" part is sooo cringy. I also feel like she should sound more angry in the bridge, instead she just seems dead. Maybe that's the goal, hiding all the rage. Anyway, it allows many interpretations and is a great way to put her relationship with her mother and father. It just doesn't appeal to me in any way. - @Johny Wayne

Right up there with these songs she could have ended the wig industry with by having chosen them as singles (even if that may be untrue to this very album). - @DevilHeart

fuuuu with three 11 ? what were the lowest rates ? they are not written
