Just another day of mourning for PI's flopage

I definitely blame promo, but it also wasn't the most radio friendly song in the world. That's fine though.

I love the song and wouldn't change a thing about it.

It flopped because her fans themselves trashed it and she indeed didn't even promote it. She even felt the need to tell us that the song wasn't meant to sound like the album...she knew exactly how the song was being received.

People didn't like it.

I think one of the reasons why she didn't promote it was that she didn't want it as the lead single at all and was pissed off by Interscope (once again) for choosing it.

1.She barely promoted it :madge: - if you're gonna release   grower song at least force it on to people or make it grow onto people. If it was performed at the SB it probably would've gone into the top ten and stayed there :madge:(I'm just saying here I mean you never know with charts etc)

2. It's a little "loud" and it's like a loud   Disco-rock song amidst a  tropical chill trap era  :madge:

3. The video doesn't have choreo :poot:(JK here obviously not a valid reason)

3. It's a grower and the geepee ain't got time for growers  :madge:

But I love the song amazing lyrics amazing rawness love it overall I just think the geepee wasn't ready for it. I'm sure if this was released in the 80s it would've smassssshhhed!:diane: Gaga did that with this song imo :diane:

One thing: autotune? Not in my fakking life!!! Anyone trying to filter Gagas voice through autotune should be burned at the stake!

Another thing: PI is my favourite thing from the Joanne era. It wasn't successful because it was too far removed from what we have come to expect from her.

Also, people and the so called General Public are Generally Stupid. In spades!

What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford

It's not the voice

It's not the song

It's the fact that she completely ignored it and let it flop into oblivion :bye:

this.

But stop with this guys really.

Perfect Illusion is a mediocre song with a stadium banger feel to it, it sounds unfinished.
Song is 3 minutes, 2 minutes of that is
IT WASN'T LOVE, IT WASN'T LOVE
IT WAS A PERFECT ILLUSION
MISTAKEN FOR LOVE

The song should've been arranged differently and her vocals needed to be less grating to the average listener's ears. Also, adding a real melody to the verses would've helped too. Overall = mess

If this is true, things need to change for future albums.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I feel like if A-Yo was the lead single, followed by MR, and then Perfect Illusion, it would've done a lot better than it did. It's still one of my favorite Gaga songs EVER. Never gets old for me.
