Lady Gaga receiving backlash after being added to Coachella

I do not understand why people discount Gaga's talent and ability. It's getting so old. She's been around ten years. It's ****ing frustrating. Fortunately most comments I've seen almost everywhere were positive.

Let's be honest: Gaga wasn't the first, but was surely the best choice! We all know how crazy she gets at festivals (sometimes TOO crazy a.k.a. SXSW Festival), she will give the crowd a boost of adrenaline for 1h30 straight :excited2::excited2::excited2:

I mean, a lot of these comments are coming from people who think Rihanna is more talented than Gaga.

Rihanna's cool and fun and a decent person, but that's almost a complete objective logical fallacy tbh

A few outraged Bey stans is hardly considered "backlash".

Wait until Gaga kills it like usual and the prise starts kicking in.

Lol. Imagine if Gaga was originally playing and she got replaced by Beyonce. We would all be fuming :emma:

I hate how the Beyhive holds Beyoncé to such a high pedestal. They think she's literally Gandhi mixed with MLK Jr mixed with Joan of Arc mixed with George Washington. Like... she's just Beyoncé and no one can deny her talents or her accomplishments, but it's also starting to get to Beyoncé's head as she tries to appeal to the image her fans and the media have of her. I like Beyoncé, but there are way more many artists that deserve the recognition that she is only exploiting as a result of her resources and money, whether they are artists like Björk or even her own sister

On top of that, the fact that Beyoncé can't accomplish so much on her own yet she's treated so highly; I have no problem with Beyoncé receiving help in exacting her vision and ideas. However, to treat Beyoncé as the sole proprietor and enactor of her visions is disgusting to the people that make her visions come to life. You think something like 4 would've humbled Beyoncé but it didn't, but I guess it's whatever since my fav is performing at Coachella and the haters can honestly seethe because she deserves to be on that stage, she's worked so diligently, she's been astonishing people's minds throughout this era and exceeding expectations we didn't even know were there. Take my hand, slay Joanne tbh

This!!! I love Beyoncè and don't hate me guys but I think Lemonade was a bit overrated and Joanne should have gotten the same recognition that Lemonade did. I really miss Bey's B'day/I am eras when she was praised but not worshipped to an extreme extent:saladga:

Well... at least they got an act as big as Beyoncé as a replacement. People will complain about pretty much anything.

Well... her 2013 album did change a lot when it comes to her image. Like, "4" used to be considered a flop, and "Lemonade" didn't sell much more than this one and is considered like the 2nd coming of Jesus. Personally, I'm a bit tired of the whole living goddess act, and I have a feeling I might not be the only one.

She will always receive backlash from that kind of crowd. I have a lot of those hipstery festival music snobs as friends, and many of them hate GaGa. Because she is talented and because she is passionate and because she puts herself out there, she becomes easy to hate. I'm sure a lot of smaller festival artists hate her too, because she is a true artist that is also mainstream and popular. They can't just write her off as a brainless pop girl, and that frustrates them. They don't want to admit how good she is. Though Beyoncé and Rihanna are 'cool' and even Katy and Britney get a pass because they're just light fun. It's all baseless and you can't put too much stock into it.

Whoever goes to see her will get a great show. :classy:
