What do you think about Katy Perry ripping off Gaga's merch?

For a case of reference, I am talking about this:


I saw someone on Twitter say that it's just the same designer due to the font but, IMO, Gaga did it first and made it a huge part of the aesthetic for this era's merch to the point she wore it herself while promoting 'Perfect Illusion':


Katy did not have to go down the same route. Does she lack that much innovation? Is her team this unambitious? I found it amiss when she was relying on pastel colors, as well as a pink suit similar to the one Gaga wore for the Apple commercials, but she didn't invent those things so I shrugged it off. This? This is entirely hers. It's deliberate. Personally, I wish Gaga never made up with her if all she's going to continue to do is recycle her ideas for the masses.

A lot like the last album cycle, I have a feeling Katy will appeal to the GP (even if it doesn't show with her single in particular) with ideas, both visually and otherwise, that were Gaga's. I can't believe this sh*t is happening again.

I do think it's a rip-off but I don't think it's necessairly Katy's fault, like, I can't picture her going to somebody saying she wants to sell a cropped top like the one Gaga's selling cause these Gaga tops didn't become... a thing  I do believe in the designer theory.

Yeah I guess there is a similarity but we shouldn't exaggerate! I mean it's a crop top with some writing... There aren't a lot of ways to design it that simple...
