I don't want to be negative but if gaga wants to sell the album, ballads ARE the way to go. that's why she performed MR that much: to show her vocals + cute generic catchy ballad with great message. MR is basically there to send the album and give her an "easy hit" although radios basically ignored it until few days (so imagine how another single would have planned). MR is kinda fixing gaga's radio situation slowly but surely .

Maybe she's waiting for MR to peak after the SB slayage going on and then officially make it a single? istg, if she's revives A-Yo for no good reason,

I realize that statement to be true, but, you don't release a killer video full of actual Joanne vibes when the first two were pretty somber, then go back to that somber tone once again. Like, if John Wayne isn't the next single, A-YO's or whatever the third single's video is will have to be even more of a surprise to both fans and non-fans alike

I just can't imagine Gaga topping John Wayne in the span of less than a month or two when Million Reasons either climbs up the charts and radios or descends into nothingness. Like, they should've really waited for the John Wayne video to be released if they wanted to capitalize on it, but I'm not complaining either way. Love this surprise, but if Gaga is trying to get another hit, she's already released the John Wayne video and now she has to live up to it or disappoint fans

Also, if the next single isn't A-YO as per Admin, and John Wayne isn't the next single according to Interscope and GGD, what is? Dancin in Circles can't slay on its own and Diamond Heart is a horrendous idea as a single right now. My only reasoning Joanne will only have two singles or John Wayne isn't next single yet until Million Reasons has run its course

There's not really any single worthy songs on Joanne if I'm honest, there's not a single track on the album that would chart decently for a long length of time, its just the genre path she's taken. An advantage of this is that she can basically pick any song she likes out the album and do whatever with it, make videos, etc. None of them are going to realistically become a big hit.

This isn't because she's releasing bad music or because people have lost interest in her, its just the type of music she's made for Joanne doesn't resonate with the general audience

I think it will be, but she hasn't announced it yet so it doesn't seem like she's over with MR because it's popularity is higher than ever. Either way, it's best to put out some new upbeat content for the GP as they do their post-SB searches and get them hooked on her new stuff altogether

She'll probably perform it with Metallica at the Grammys and it will be announced as the next single anytime soon.
