Why doesn't Katy Perry evolve?

Why do you think Katy Perry doesn't evolve? I mean everytime she starts a new era it all feels the same. She provides fun catchy songs with simple lyrics and a cute/colorful music video. Her sound changes a bit, but technically she just uses sounds that are popular at the moment. I always wait for her to provide something original and mature but it never happens. Maybe she is afraid of loosing success?

Teenage Dream was a progression from One of the Boys. Once TD was so successful she just stuck with that gimmick.

I'm not sure, I don't think artists HAVE to evolve to be true artists.. I mean, I'm happy Gaga evolves and is so daring, but really an artists makes art to express themselves and what they're feeling in that moment...and she's the same person, so maybe that's why....idk

I feel she doesn't realize that she isn't evolving

A lot of the style in teenage dream was synth pop/electro pop because by that time Gaga had made this sound popular.

Well, to be fair Katy Perry is not the only one who refuses to evolve.

Edit: I'm talking about you by the way. All your threads are the same.
