I agree.  It was refreshing to see her character once again shine through.  The performance was so authentic and true to Lady Gaga. I usually cringe saying this but I have never been more proud of her.

They ignored that she did say something political because it was understated, Basically saying she played it safe which she didn't she just wasn't loud about it.
