True, never thought about that. Plus it makes sense that she performed Million Reasons if anything, it had a good amount of prior exposure so it made sense for the whole "touching ballad" moment

Yeah, I wish she had a re peak with ARTPOP or Joanne so we would have newer hits but it was for the best. This was for the general public and with some luck they will get on a Gaga-train again and we will have some more radio hits

And I'm sure that in the beginning she was considering more Joanne songs, she herself showed how excited she was to perform her new music, I think she just realized it would be impractical and went for the hits and entertainment road

Athought Applause is her biggest succes in radio I don't think this was the right moment for her to sing I LIVE FOR THE APPLAUSE. This song can sounds a little bit arrogant for some. PI is dead, no one knows this song. TEOG is great and I think she'd performed it if she hadn't wasted more than 1 minute on the roof.

also I wouldn't trade any song for any song that was on the setlist, maybe Applause, but I can't think of any song to remove.

Telephone was completely unnecessary. TEOG should have been performed but her performance slayed so much that I don't care.

I see your point, but she obviously went for a hit-packed set and those came from those years. She's playing for over 100 million people, she needs to cater that vast audience rather than a few of us who would "yaaas" over a particular Joanne track. I think a lot of people watching probably hadn't heard MR either so it was good for her to get it in there at all TBH. In spite of her playing the older stuff too, Joanne and MR have benefited the most on iTunes so it's not as if the music has gone unnoticed. 

That being said, I do think Applause could've slotted in there nicely. But time constraints etc.

I think doing telephone alone was BRAAAAAAVE.

That slot very easily coulda been PI or the next single or hell even A-YO, I lived for it and was scalped clean bald. It just felt weird for there to be a televised performance of Telephone without Bey, so I wish that was swapped with like applause or something cause that song was a moderate hit.

Not a complaint just a place where people could have been let down, say what if bey never announced her pregnancy. Then suddenly telephone ends and no Bey, even tho she is perfectly healthy?

Telephone felt like an unnecessary hit to include.

As a Michael Jackson fan, to this day I'm still pressed that he didn't sing Beat It, Bad, Thriller, Man in the Mirror, or Smooth Criminal but he sang songs like Jam and Heal the World... Honestly we should be happy that we can look back at this performance and hear Gagas biggest hits. This is her most enduring legacy. The fact is more people know Telephone than Applause and TEOG.
