Thousands of Yemeni-Americans and their supporters rallied in Brooklyn on Thursday to denounce President Trump’s executive order on immigration, hours after hundreds of Yemeni-owned bodegas and grocery stores around New York closed to protest the order.

Waving American and Yemeni flags and holding signs in English and Arabic, the demonstrators filled the plaza at Borough Hall. They gathered for the Islamic sunset prayer and listened intently as a series of public officials greeted them with the words “Assalamu alaikum” and condemned the president’s order, which temporarily bars citizens of Yemen and six other majority-Muslim countries from entering the United States.

Lol I'm not saying I wish I lived in the Middle East or that I prefer Muslims over Christians. I'm agnostic so I couldn't give two cents about their prayers since it's not affecting anyone.

Christians still do atrocities in the name of their religion too so I don't really see the difference between the two.

American christians poisoned the mind of some African countries like Uganda to "kill the gays" as well. Don't act like christians are some kind of saints. Muslims in the USA don't hurt the LGBT, even if they don't agree with it, much like christians. 

At the end of the day, when state and religion aren't separated, gays will be killed. The main reason it doesn't happen in developped countries is because religion is not taken as law. In these underdevelopped countries, they have much to come through as a society to ban these insane laws, and that's why religious ill-minded people take advantage of it (christians in Uganda, muslims in the middle east...). Any blind following of ideology is easy to be taken advantage of, if you corrupt the top end (their leaders/lawmakers).

Decent atheists (like myself, I'd like to believe) will stand up for freedom of religion. We believe everyone has the right to follow a religion or not, as long as it doesn't hurt other people.

Yes, we think the actual narrative of all religions is bullsh*t, but we support any good teachings and morals that come out of them. Religion brings destruction to some people, yes, but it also brings happiness to so many other people.

At the end of the day, there is good and bad people everywhere, no matter the religion. And we will support anyone who does good, even if they are religious.

Islam will never represent gays, lol. The Qu'ran's text calls for death of homosexuals by throwing off of buildings. A study was done and 52% of British Muslims believe homosexuality should be illegal. Islam does call for peace, but it also calls for violence.

The text of the Quran is immensely contradictory, thus making it vulnerable for application to corrupt political agendas and the destruction of secular society.

Personally, I'm anti any religion. It is simply regressive and not the way forward. The world needs to realize this before it's too late, but I don't think it will. 

Ban muslims from entering the country, you will piss off a lot of them and experience homegrown radicalization. Let too many muslims into the country, we are bound to experience acts of terror too. We're ****ed from both angles.
