Remember 2008 when the LGBT communtity went wild and called radio stations just to ask why they aren't playing that great Just Dance song by this new amazing performer called Lady GaGa? Just Dance took ages to take off, not just roughly 2-3months.

Cant compare it to Just Dance. She wasnt known at the time

Many artists first hit is a sleeper hit... new artists having instant hits dont generally happen

But once an artist is known, if within 2-3 months a single doesnt catch on, typically it never does

hmm but this is lady gaga you are talking about. normal rules don't apply. there could be some sleeper hits maybe Joanne is going to blow up.

JD was her debut single as a debut artist. Interscope was pushing her a lot to slay with JD.

Now she's a big artist. A single / album doesn't work, they'll just wait the next one.

Mark my word, they'll try a new single with SB. If single #3 is a failure, I can see them stopping Joanne's run. If it's a hit I could see them releasing a final single for summer.

This!

They wont waste SB hype and not release a 3rd single

whether or not we get a 4th depends on the 3rd singles success

If the first 3 singles fail to produce success its not the 4th single thats gonna succeed and they wont bother!

That's it.. Wasting the SB spot to launch next single would be a huge miss.. Seriously, I don't see radios pushing MR even after. They never were crazy about this song from the start tbh... Well we'll see...

The success of both JD and Gaga is yet to be seen again and very unique. And Interscope didn't push for Just Dance to become a hit as much as people want to believe, who pushed were Gaga, her friends and the gays. (It wasn't 2-3 months btw. JD was released April 8, 2008 and went #1 on January 17, 2009, that is a span of a bit more than 9 months. And it took off shortly before going #1 and took ages to die down) FUNFACT: Just Dance took off in Germany when Pokerface smashed.

I'm not saying MR will still smash but it still has the chance to be a moderate hit. Could actually peak in the top 30, which would be great for MR, while the third single is maybe smashing.

They shouldn't waste that. Best case: Single#3 taking off and really pushing for it to do so. And while being on it letting MR ride that wave by performing it too and maybe doing medleys.

it took a long time like 8 or 9 months I think for JD. Gaga has been away for a while. Most people never heard ARTPOP so for them it has been a long time and this type of gaga music is totally different to what people heard before so I wouldn't be surprised if it got mor popular. still I don't think it is the best song on the album. maybe it would be good to  release a few more in one go rather than staggering them too much.
