On the progression front come on: 1 example is Gay marriage. Legal since 2001 in The Netherlands. Legal in the Us since 2015.

+ I have never stated that the US isn't important to the world. It clearly is. But the moves the country has made during the last 15 years weren't all that. For instance the war in Iraq that Bush started by lying about nuclear weapons. ISIS is a direct effect from that war.

And then there are the American people. Don't get me wrong I have met many amazing ones. But also the plain stupid ones. Who really believe we in the Netherlands walk around in wooden shoes and who believe that Amsterdam is a country etc. The Problem with the US is its ego. 

And lets not forget the non excistent American Dream. 

China and Russia are threats. Communistic threats. 

Meanwhile gay marriage is fully legal in all of the US and weed is legal to a higher extent in most of the US than it is in the Netherlands. The US has been catching up on social progress these past years, and I'd say places like California and New York are more progressive/left-leaning than the Netherlands.

What goes for Americans, also goes for Europeans. I remember when a Milwaukee date was announced for the ArtRAVE, and Europeans (me included) thought it was somewhere in Africa. US states aren't that different from European countries, and I doubt Europeans know every US state with its capital (or even just more than 5 states).

 

But yeah, I would agree that on some fields such as the welfare state and education, the US is slacking. Nonetheless the US is still the most powerful country in the world because it can crush anything it doesn't like. That's real power. If there's ever another world war, whichever country that has the US on its side will win.

It's not retaliation. They had no other choice. 

Think a bit. Why are they banned from the US? Trump thinks that half the world are terrorists. He disrespected several countries and acts like half of the world owes him. They didn't close american entrance just to pay in the same coin. They did it to protect themselves from backlash. Imagine how mexicans would react if their president said "Hey, I'm cool with our citizens being labeled and treated as terrorists. Ps: Come to Mexico fellow americans! Meanwhile we will also pay for the great wall of the united states" 

These are people with power and there are elections to win. It would be political suicide to be quiet and keep it cool.

Fighting "fire with fire" is called a war, or at least this mentality could lead to war and then the real carnage would start. Everyone else involved is in danger of collateral damage if things escalate beyond negotiable repair. War doesn't work, it kills and destroys. Who wants that?

Dear lord no.

I want to be selfish for the rest of my life.

I've seen my brother and sister turn on my mother, and I've nearly done the same. I despise my father.

Raising a kid would just cut into my life, which I don't really want to share with a kid. Not to mention, it'd end up being broken and f*ucked up. I'm barely mentally stable as it is, I doubt a kid would make it better.

Plus I already have children.

All my characters, my creations. Books in the making, other media to be created. Though I'm more of a God than a parental figure.

Plus, I'm allowed to hurt my fictional creations without any good reason besides angst. I'm bound to spank a child if I was to raise one.

I hate children and I know I'd be an unfit parent.
