I feel like some of you guys forgot that Madonna has praised Gaga at times. Madonna was only bitter when it came to "Born This Way" because she felt as though Gaga was stealing her work. Gaga's defended her own work in similar ways. Like, she went after Katy Perry for wearing a green wig. Come on. Ultimately, the media did blow things out of proportion there (between Madonna and Gaga, not talking about the Katy situation).

That said, Madonna still could have said more to have made the situation not so bad for Gaga. If she wanted more support from females in the industry, she could have further extended support to others, instead of putting others' work down publicly when it was convenient for her to do so.
