So, my boyfriend is releasing an album next month and I influenced him (after Gaga influenced me) to do promo. So we have created this teaser with the music and some images.

I would appreciate a lot if you guys liked it and shared your opinion about the video here (it is made by me and it is the first time I do something like this so yeah any suggestion is well received)

anyway I am quite proud of the result. Here you go:

i expected something shitty (cause the title created this image of a 13y.old gaga fan creating the first time music and making an "official" thread about the upcoming release of the very first "super hard worked" on album)

but wow that is quite nice and pleasant. the music is nice and the video teaser itself too. seems like quality music to me. maybe make a thread on reddit aswell r/music so it gets more recognition

This was actually very well done @NewYorkCity! Good angles, great editing!

The only advice I would give as a fellow musician and filmmaker is to experiment with color correction and make sure your boyfriend is syncing up with the edits. Sometimes the words aren't mouthed right or just a tad off beat. Marks are EVERYTHING in film production. So just make sure you carry around a boom box and blast that **** really loud while you shoot. ALSO, some parts it seems like he's actually playing...so tell him it's more important to mimic the studio version (even if the playing style looks unrealistic), because he's playing an acoutic when the track is clearly electric. If you can't get an electric on set he then must play it like he would an electric (which is less strumming and more notation)

Oh, and one trick of the trade i'd like to share with you is the WHEELCHAIR method. If someone in your family has an old wheelchair you can take a piece of plywood and lay it over the bars. Then you can strap down your camera and use it as a DIY dolly, so shots glide and transitions.

Thank you  yeah he has an electric guitar, we will take it next time! You are right about the mouthing, but all these images were taken like... I was driving, we saw the place and the sunset and it was like: ok let's stop and record here. :toofunny: so we weren't prepared. But these advices will be useful for next time!

Thanks again

Thanks! Actually we were thinking about doing a music video and the wheelchair thing will be very helpful. I have been thinking about how to create that effect and you just gave me a good solution :)

It saved me a ton on my last film project, dolly's are SOOO expensive. Good luck on the video. I can't WAIT to see it.
