From personal experience though, adding LGBTQ characters or making a character gay/any other sexuality besides straight is very controversial within the comic book community. I mean, tons of people were pissed when they revealed that Wonder Woman was bisexual, and with a beloved series such as this, I wonder what others' reactions will be.
