Ooolong 4,440
Madonna, Kanye West, Azealia Banks Mostly because their reputations made me avoid or not enjoy their music but I can't deny a bop, which they all make, so I learned to separate the art from the artist and I've never looked back and my music library has never been better . 42 minutes ago, Yo GagaGaga said: same Me listening to 212 on the down low everyday Why is this me . Easy 5,298
1. Lady Gaga. When she first came out I thought she's all about bling not the music. I went to a show and looked her up online, I loved her to death now. 2. Madonna. I hated her because she didn't treat Gaga well. Went to the Rebel Heart Tour recently and holy ****. This girl can perform!! I respect her so much now. But tbh her live vocals was meh. It was heavily auto tuned on the Rebel Heart tracks and in older tracks like Like A Virgin and Love Don't Live Here Anymore etc, she needed backing vocals/are off. Still respect her as an artist tho. 3. Katy Perry. When she released Ur So Gay I was deeply offended but then Walking on Air made me like her so much more. Went to Prismatic World Tour last year. Her live vocals improved so much during TD-Prism tbh. I am still in a love hate situation because my prismatic show was so lacking. She shrunk her stage and cut all the songs involved flying and stuff. Just google images of her Macau show you'll know Spoiler I feel like I'm really old here coz I doubt many of you remembered or knew the Ur So Gay drama 4. Kanye West. I hated his personality but since my best friend loved him so much I gave his music a try. Yeezus was such a masterpiece. His collaborations with Mike Dean are all amazing, his productions on Rebel Heart gave me life. Still not a big fan of his attitude but I respect him as a musician and I think his 21 Grammys are well deserved.

nativenewyorker 1,190
The 1975 and Halsey. I used to cringe and laugh at lyrics I find myself singing now. I was annoyed at how pretentious Matt sounded in interviews and I didn't see that translating in their first album, which I initially hated. Flash forward a year and I'm feet away from Matt at Barclays singing every word. I thought Halsey was the fakest, most annoying, ridiculously EXTRA attention wh0re and I couldn't understand how she was popular. I wrote her off as a talentless One Direction fan from Tumblr who ripped off Lana Del Rey and other alternative "indie" acts like Arctic Monkeys and The 1975. Then I realized I was just jealous that she became famous millionaire and I'm not. Then I was able to appreciate her work. Honestly, I think I was so bothered by Matt and Ashley because I saw parts of myself in them and was just mad they had the lifestyle I wanted. I was literally brainstorming a song/music video inspired by True Romance last year and then I saw the Robbers video and it INFURIATED me. My friend was obsessed with them and I talked so much sh*t in a fit of jealousy So petty. Sorry Matty, I like you now
Gagz 2,579
Lana Del Rey. I always liked her overall style, but found her music boring and unrelatable until Honeymoon came out. Honeymoon is one of my favorite albums, and I actually enjoy Born To Die (the album) now as well. I still don't like Ultraviolence, but I consider myself a casual Lana fan. Monster Voices 1,024
Demi Lovato is the only one I can think of. I used to genuinely hate her and made fun of one of my friends cause she liked her. But then at one point I started really enjoying her music. Not a stan but I like her and her songs a lot. The Surrealist 27,470
Melanie Martinez. I didn't and still don't like her crybaby aesthetics but she has some good songs. I started to dislike some singers though, like Kanye, Drake, Azealia, J.Lo., Rihanna - their attitude is off-putting and it's getting annoying while it interfering with my listening experience. Addison Rae 16,635
I've never really not liked anyone, it's more of the opposite for me. I like artists at first but then I either get bored of them or don't like their work anymore, which is the case for Katy Perry. I was a MASSIVE KatyCat before becoming a full-time Gaga stan, since the beginning even though I was like 8 this is around the same time Gaga had her debut too and my sister was really into her. I always listened to Katy and followed her career right up until she released Roar. I saw that Gaga also released a song called Applause and checked it out, and now you know what happened next. I listened to Prism but I just kind of got bored of her and I started to like Gaga a lot so I became a Monster. Prism has some nice songs though. sitting on his lap sipping diet pepsi
