Wrong I know, but still such a rude way to end especially when you link a wiki article to support your argument. Sorry--my 2017 needed some negative energy so I had to unearth this from the vault. It's OK hun and you are right. It was rude. I'll erase it off my original reply. My apologies. Like I said before, in this situation, it's the vegans who are the straights and the meat eaters are the gays. The vegans are trying to tell them to suppress their natural urges and stop eating meat through conversion therapy. Sound familiar?

Understand that I have witnessed vegans comparing the meat industry to support for black slavery and therefore, meat eaters are racist. It's all over YouTube, look it up. So, yeah, there's worse comparisons to be made. I really don't think such comparisons are the least bit appropriate but if they get brought up, I'll hold someone to it and point out the fallacy in their thinking. Lately, from the kind of activism I've seen from vegans online, their community is largely becoming like a religious cult who feels the need to convert people. I have never seen any other diet/lifestyle choice that is so pushy on outsiders. If you're against gay conversion therapy, surely you should be against any kind of attempts to convert people to live a life they don't want just because you say so? Or is this theory only bad in your mind when it's gay conversion? We live in a free society where people can make their own choices. My years on this earth have taught me that trying to tell people to change their lifestyle and take their rights away doesn't go down well. I mean, for example, I'm against the p0rn industry. But understandably, many people are against this concept because they like their right to sexual expression and I've been really badly treated every time I've tried to bring up my points, no matter how nice I am. I realise that p0rn is unlikely to ever be banned, so I'm just hoping that campaigns to get the industry to be more ethical take effect and I also actively discourage people from getting into the business in the first place. You have to be realistic. You have to know when you're in too much of a minority to make a difference and have to accept every little victory that you can take. But overly preaching to people is not the way to go. Any cause that I want to push is always framed very nicely and not forced on people as messages don't go through that way. Just some food for thought.
