London GUY 5,628
I know I'm not as old as many of the people on this site, and this might get me ridiculed, but I was listening to The Fame today when it hit me how much of an impact Gaga has had on my life. I was 7 when The Fame came out, when my dad took me shopping and I demanded to have "Just Dance ladies" CD, When I was 8 I popped my bussy to Bad Romance at the school disco, and stayed up until past midnight so I could watch the "naughty" videos for Telephone and Alejandro without being caught, and making my whole family watch the royal variety to see her, I was 10 when I dragged my mum to the same shop to buy Born This Way on release day, and had my first iconic meltdown when she wouldn't let me buy the deluxe, and later that summer when I made my dad play BTW on loop for the whole family holiday to Cornwall, I was 12 and trying as hard as I could to not come to terms with my sexuality when Applause came out, and I shunned her and all other pop music until early last year, I even through the fame monster out of my bedroom window () After my two-year Avicii and Sam Smith filled venture through basic popular music, and being out to my friends, I heard Yoü and I play in a Pizza Hut, and remember seeing G.U.Y on TV last year () so I went to see what she was up to, and listened to the Born This Way album and fell back in love, After making my account here back in January, and staying awake countless nights to watch the Grammys, Super Bowl, VMAs etc. () sole with other members, and coming out publicly, I was 15 when Gaga released Joanne, and it struck me, I've literally loved her for half of my life, (Excluding the 2013-15 mess), and it struck me how much of an impact she's had on me, she's the reason I'm confident, open-minded, and the reason I've signed up to this forum, where although I don't really talk to anyone, I've seen some of the most hilarious, creative and bizarre things of my life, and I'm so grateful to be a part of this tight-knit, shady and kind community REPLAY

HOTNebraskaGuy 19,547
If only my history with Gaga was that in depth. I just saw ARTPOP on iTunes Music before the release and played it on repeat I remember how mad I got when it wouldn't let me skip another song (I think I was aiming to get Applause or DWUW on) One, five, ten lay a million on me

The Fame Monster Deluxe was the first ever album I bought. I think it was in 2010 💋 Lead Me to War With Your Brilliant Erection 🚬

Andrew2512 321
I fell in love with Gaga like 2 or 3 years later after Poker Face when I heard it for the first time. Then I went Gaga crazy
djBuffoon 12,118
I completely wrote her off when "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and even "LoveGame" hit. They were good bops, but they had no depth, and I didn't know yet that she a) wrote them, b) could sing them live, c) could dance, d) had interesting music videos, or e) was an overall well-honed performer. Once "Paparazzi" at the VMA hit, there was no turning back.
