In retrospect, I think she kind of changed for him, she became more "Hollywood" and she wasn't really being herself. The first verse literally recounts a story she told when Taylor took her out on his Harley to the beach and they made love in an abandoned shack. Taylor was with her during her most difficult times(hip surgery, depression, drugs etc.) when a lot of her "friends" and "monsters" left her. I have nothing but respect for him because of that. And everyone who now hates Taylor, is such a hypocrite. Gaga still has nothing but love and respect for him, so I think we should do the same.
