That's how it was in my state up until this year when open carry was made legal. 

Fortunately I haven't encountered regular civilians engaging in open carry.

There won't be any drama because this is a cut and closed case, not because of the agenda you are trying to spinn  

Liberals aren't advocating that police be denied service, but some people do  refuse to accept the reality that discrimination against people exists and is worth discussing.  People ran to the "Arab boy" (Word choice  )'s defense because even though it turned out to be fake or whatever, things like that do happen, and injustice should be fought at every instance. An "Arab boy" is no less worthy of being defended than a police officer, regardless of the fact that some people will demonize one group and lionize the other, and that was the point being made.

For the record though, I completely understand laws that prevent open carry in certain public spaces like restaurants; though I don't think this should apply to police officers because they should be trained to have restraint and to avoid getting innocent civillians in danger when possible. People know this when they see them; the same cannot be said of Joe who walks in

As for the plane incident, he has been proven fake and you know very well that people who defended him only knew what he was leading on and you can't blame anyone for defending him at the time. LET-IT-GO. You educating me about dupe threads would make more sense if you weren't just tagging people for the thrill of provoking them because you can't stand they defended what seemed a lot like racial profiling and discrimination.

What a minor part of my post to gripe over  

It's the combination of both words (arab + boy) and the context. In each of MJHolland's successive posts, he repeatedly refers to Adam as "arab __" and then immediately contrasts it with "police officer/service officer/whatever" as if to imply that Liberals reaction to one but not the other is the real injustice (e.g, "why are you siding with the Arab boy and not the officer of the law!")

In reality, both deserve equal respect and attention, one is not more important to defend against injustice than the other. It also just sounded demeaning in the way he kept using it. (Regardless of intent) Adam has a name. Repeatingly referring to a person as just a member of their race (or in this case ethnic group) has low-key demeaning offensive connotations. It's at least problematic, so I felt the need to say something small or to the side about it.

Theres no "coddling" involved though, I didn't mean that "arab boy" by itself is somehow an offensive term or whatever, its just how he used it. "Black boy" "Asian boy" "Hispanic boy" "White boy" etc. would all be similarly offensive in how they are used in this context. 

But it's a minor point that I don't "really" care about that much, and maybe I was the only one to pick up on it, so it's whatever

"White trash" and "white tears" aren't analogous to what I'm describing here; its just this specific instance, not a larger trend or anything. And people definitely do comment when these phrases are said. They call them reverse racism (or just racism, whatever) and then there's a huge debate every time.

You don't need Hollywood to understand why some are against guns when you've got kids shooting themselves accidently, gun massacres, shoot outs etc. 

You could argue that it's down to the person but if you give someone a tool that is used for killing (masked in 'protection') it's going to be used and that doesn't discredit cases where people were accidently shot or those who have mental illnesses and cannot comprehend the devastation of a gun.

I agree to an extent with some of your points but I think you need to see the other side of the spectrum
