Whilst I would love the world to unite and say "look, we can't use nukes anymore, it's far too destructive for the entire world." you have to have some sort of deterrent to stop you from being on the receiving end. Plus, a part of me feels like we'll never remove them completely. It's the ultimate weapon and it only takes one country to go rogue if a deal was ever made. Instead of contributing to a conversation, some tend to just slander him continuously. Mocking him won't prevent him from taking office so I think we need to just focus on what is being said here. The point about nuclear weapons is that it's impossible to prevent a nuclear attack. We can strike any country that nukes us first with a nuke of our own. That is the deterrent. Any more than that is a waste of time and money, and it looks bad globally. I agree with you, I just think it's worth to keep having nukes around whilst others are in possession of them.
