This album is supposed to be a cross-format album yet they've only stuck to pop and HAC as usual. This was her chance to crossover to Triple A/alternative, country, etc., and they're just ignoring the potential. This album and the singles could be a lot bigger if they had done more to reach out to other audiences. A MR country feature could've smashed on country radio. Multiple songs on the album would've done well on Triple A/alternative radio. This is essentially how Adele blew up in the US. Her team reached out to multiple different formats, and before long Rolling in the Deep was getting airplay on every single radio format there is. Anyways, I really hope the next single is DIC. It's the only potential "hit" left on the album. A-NO will not smash. John Wayne will do nothing. Nothing else has got potential for pop radio but DIC. A collab would be preferred but we all know Gaga would never do that. It's obvious they're keeping with MR because she's playing it at the Superbowl. If it goes nowhere after that, I assume they'll quickly move on to the next single, but best case scenario would be for MR to blow up and then to have DIC as the summer/tour single. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
