Why is this thread necessary? No offense OP you obviously have the right to create a thread and whatnot but we've heard this argument a million times. Some monsters don't care about where Gaga is on the ranks, some do. To each their own really.

Threads like these have been posted and reposted since BTW (arguably Gaga's downfall). I see no reason why we have to bring this crap up again with its own thread tbh.

Also, have you all forgotten ARTPOP, it was a direct reaction to the pop music world, all the expectation of her being on top, making millions, do you not remember the immense pain she was in during the era, and how she felt she had to keep up the "Lady Gaga" appearance to appease everyone? She did everything people expected of her, the crazy outfits, the electronic music, etc. She was so angry and in such a terrible space mentally, how can you all expect her to go back to such a bad place? She is in a happier place with Joanne, and she's being herself, it might not be "lady gaga", or in fact, it might ACTUALLY be the true Lady Gaga, we have never seen, but the one she has always wanted us to see. To me, you are all acting like the bullies at her highschool who put her down for being herself, for being Stefani. Have you ever thought, with Joanne, she has found the courage to be herself and show us Stefani, and you are all rejecting her, how do you think that might make her feel, especially coming from the fans? Joanne, like Lady Gaga, could be the persona she is using to express her true self, that is what Lady Gaga was in the first place, a persona to express who she truly was at the time, but didn't feel would be accepted.

Agreed. Like I mean of course she's gonna be happy to slay the charts and have a massive hit single, but it's not what she makes the music for and it's not what she's in the industry for. 

 

There's a difference between being driven by the charts and being happy you are doing well on the charts. At the end of the day she is doing what she loves and if she gets a hit or a best-selling album than that's just an added bonus for her. But she's not gonna meltdown if not, unlike monsters (the little chartsters anyway)

We need to appreciate Gaga while she's here, appreciate all that she is doing before she is no longer here with us, rather than complain and worry about where a song charts.

I honestly don't see any downside in Gaga becoming less commercially prevalent. She has enough money to live comfortably for the rest of her life, huge budgets aren't needed for quality music videos and visuals, and she could tour smaller venues.

Tbh they'll deny it, but a lot of fans just like to have dragging rights over other fanbases.
