It has nothing to do with DIC not being radio friendly. When Nicky Minaj's Anaconda, and songs like Side to Side and even Katy Perry's 'E.T.' (with Kanye sexualised rap) play at McDonald's here in Australia, you know its all changed. The reason why Dancing in Circles shouldn't be a first or second single is because its topic does NOT suit the Joanne message, or what Gaga has been speaking about in Interviews over her family and their story.

Now that Perfect Illusion and the Million Reason era is closing, Dancing in Circles has more of a chance of becoming a single. I still think people overestimate the impact this song will have though. I still think A-YO is a better choice, as long as Gaga fixes up the dance routine a bit and can find interesting ways on doing the song justice live. Plus it would be a perfect Joanne track for the SuperBowl.

Me and my partner listen to the album all the time, DIC and Perfect Illusion are usually the 2 tracks we skip, if we do any.

Either way don't expect a massive dance hit. Not with the way Gaga has planned the music videos this era.

The verses are amazing butbyhe chorus is underwhelming, Its one of my faves in the album but I dont think it'll make gaga a hit (itll work more than PI, Ayo and MR tho)  but still

Agree that it doesn't fit into the Joanne narrative.

I'm sure Joanne edged the bean a few times in her lifetime, God bless her.

It sounds weird and creepy.  Its like something youd listen to on halloween while whatching creepy hookers walk by or something :air:

Its my fav track on the album to bop to but I just dont see the GP eating up a song that sounds so weird and creepy even if it does have an upbeat tempo

you're clearly out of touch

I mean, the "baby dont cry, baby dont cry" sounds exactly like Sia, and she's all over the radio:ladyhaha:

Gags better make a "Dancin' in Circles (baby don't cry remix)" for the radio

For me it's the exact opposite :rip:. I'm in love with the chorus but the verses take the song to a very generic place  for me :emma:
