FBI backs CIA view that Russia intervened to help Trump win election

FBI Director James B. Comey and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. are in agreement with a CIA assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election in part to help Donald Trump win the presidency, according to U.S. officials. 

Comey’s support for the CIA’s conclusion — and officials say that he never changed his position — suggests that the leaders of the three agencies are in agreement on Russian intentions, contrary to suggestions by some lawmakers that the FBI disagreed with the CIA.

“Earlier this week, I met separately with (Director) FBI James Comey and DNI Jim Clapper, and there is strong consensus among us on the scope, nature, and intent of Russian interference in our presidential election,” CIA Director John Brennan said in a message to the agency’s workforce, according to U.S. officials who have seen the message. 

“The three of us also agree that our organizations, along with others, need to focus on completing the thorough review of this issue that has been directed by President Obama and which is being led by the DNI,” Brennan’s message read.

This should mean something, but honestly I doubt it will.

Even if the President and the State department try to do something to Russia in terms of policy and nat'l dealings, it will be undone when Trump becomes president  

If there is evidence Trump and his team knew in the slightest about this, he should not be allowed to become president for a whole slew of reasons

There's no word about Russia tampering with the actual election, only releasing damning info via the wikileaks emails (from CNN):

"Those hacks resulted in the public release of thousands of stolen emails, many of which included damaging revelations about the Democratic Party and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the party's nominee."

So they're mad about the wikileaks, maybe people should question what's in those emails that's stirring all of this up in the first place.. I guess nobody cares

I cant belive that some members here on GGD, including me, are smarter than the ****ing FBI and CIA. It was OBVIOUS that Russia had something to do with Trump's win. I mean, nothing Trump related leaking must of been a red flag. I though we already knew this? This country is doomed.

Comey agrees that Russia hacked the election to help Trump win. Can Comey agree that he had his part in it as well?

FBI wasnt supporting CIA at first but now it is  and we had doubts and stuff but it wasnt  official. Now its official and with strong evidence
