"Gaga has lost track:

Ever since the Joanne era started, many fans have been saying "Gaga has lost track". But the only reason why many fans are saying this is because they don't like the direction Gaga is taking or because she is not as popular as she used to be. Now, you have to realize that just because you don't like the type of music, performances, or type of music videos that she is making it doesn't mean that she has lost track. And you also have to have figured out that Gaga was bound to deviate from her usual sound as she has always been a very eclectic artist. Also the fact that she is not as popular as she used to be has nothing to do with quality because in general Joanne was well received. It has more to do with the fact that Gaga is not making trendy music anymore. Plus if you really liked Gaga as an artist then why do you care about the charts? She already has plenty of money to support herself. Anyways, don't use the excuse of "I don't have to like everything Gaga does" in order to trash the quality or creative directions Gaga is taking.

I dont care about charts but she is obiusly declining as an artist. Music is great, but music videos are horrible. Live performances are tonned down, but still AMAZING vocally. I just hope she finds a GOOD way to deliver something simple without being boring. Not trying to hate, just my opinion.

If Joanne sold as much as 25 and the critics raved about Joanne there would be no complaints.

I am not entirely surprised that she released an album like Joanne either as most "big eclectic, larger than life, dramatic" pop stars tend to tone back at least once in their musical career. And I don't think Joanne has hurt her image or got her off track. It was the 2nd highest debut for a female artist, sold fairly well for an album lacking in hit singles at the time, and has been well received by most fans and people of the public. As for her videography which is probably what inspired this thread, MR's execution may have been underwhelming for some fans (myself included) but it doesn't mean that her career is over and she's gone off tracks. The era has only just begun and I can't wait to see what else is in store.

I have to disagree with this. Sure we have the Superbowl AND the tour but I dont think we are getting much more than that. Probably a video for A-Yo and thats it. I dont think Joanne will have a fourth single

And that's your opinion. The tour and the Super Bowl will still encompass a large, influential part of the era. Unless she announces an entirely new project and doesn't finish touring, the era isn't dead.

She doesn't have to release the songs as singles in order to make videos for the songs.

The music isn't the problem for most people. And we really don't need to like everything :laughga:

I did not say you needed to like everything. Is just that the criticisms need to be logical.
