I'm still excited for Superbowl, but the Million Reasons video totally ruined my enjoyment of the Joanne era.

What a whiny, selfabsorbed dud that was. Whew.

Quote-on-quote from GAGA HERSELF:

"I feel sad when I’m overworked, and that I just become a money making machine, and that my passion and my creativity take a back seat; that makes me unhappy."  - http://www.etonline.com/news/174984_lady_gaga_explains_why_she_almost_quit_music/

CLEARLY she gets tired from overpromoting. No one really promotes excessively these days a la the Born This Way era anymore, anyway.

You're misinterpreting it.  she never once says "overpromoting".

"Gaga says she started to say no to things, including perfume sponsorships and long days of taking promotional photos and selfies. “It feels shallow," she said. "I have a lot more to offer than my image.""

she doesn't want to sell her image, but performing is different.  that is her art.

I'm currently not that excited about this era. Her performances have gotten boring and the music videos are boring. There were some cool things but not enough considering we waited 3 years for this album era. I feel like we deserve better.

i am excited for the Super Bowl tho

I think team Gaga should be concerned with these poll results, it's clear that  that this era could damage her career big time.

i guess i am just kind of sick of how gloomy it is.  she kept being preachy during her last two eras and is now doing it again.  i just wish she would have fun and be care free.  it's clearly turning a lot of people away.  the music is fine though.  i'm just rolling my eyes at her attitude most of the time.

This is the honest to goodness truth. I love Gaga with all of my heart and always will, but she's just so damn artistic and intellectual that her work always has a deep, personal meaning to it, and I do love that. However, at the same time, sometimes I absolutely love it when a song has no meaning whatsoever. I would absolutely LOVE it if she made another Fame-type album with fun, party songs as a big "**** you!" to the critics. It kind of reminds me of a Fader interview with Charli XCX that talked about how she's actually scared of making straight-up, all the frills and no meaning pop music:

"But with a combination of the confidence won by critical acclaim, and the self-awareness of someone who’s used to being criticized, this master of saying **** it has finally said **** it about her music, too. For the first time, Charli XCX has recorded an album that’s as fun to listen to as she’s always wanted her life to seem fun to live. Making it has taken some hard work — she’s just not sure she wants you to know that."

I am excited about the possibilities that Gaga and hear team still have.... not too excited about the fact that they probably won't use any of them

we're literally not even out of the first quarter of the era and just because everything hasn't been done with beyonce level PR perfection y'all assume the era needs to move on

I still think she could do big things with this album, still loving the sound the actual problem are just music videos which are not very good. I hope they'll get better with next singles, i want dancing in circles single so much for next summer

I'm not excited this time around but I wish she would've went forward with a 70's related album theme. Joanne comes off as forced and doesn't feel authentic to me. The visual aspect of the era is also flawed and seems almost disrespectful to her past style. I'm assuming she'll release 2 more singles before moving to the next project. I hope Sinners Prayer and John Wayne close the era out the right way.

the only thing I'm excited for is the superbowl but that is more so b/c we'll be hearing lots of classic gaga hits. I'm over Joanne.
